Are ex-servicemen preferred?
Frequently, yes — for supervisory grades in particular. A discharge certificate strengthens the application considerably.
How do I apply for a security guard job abroad?

What should my CV show for a security guard vacancy?
Your trade stated plainly, the years of experience, the specific equipment or systems you worked on, and the names of the employers with dates. Attach your experience certificates and any trade certificate. Vague CVs get skipped — employers shortlist on specifics.
