Heavy driver and light driver jobs abroad

Driving vacancies come from contracting companies, logistics and transport fleets, waste-management contractors and staff-transport operators. The single thing that decides a driving application is the licence — its category, its validity, and whether the destination country will convert it.

The job

What a heavy driver does on an overseas contract.

Written from the demand letters our clients actually send us — not a generic description.

Typical duties

  • Driving heavy trucks, trailers, tippers, tankers, buses or light vehicles as per the vacancy
  • Daily vehicle checks, fluid levels, tyres and defect reporting
  • Loading and securing cargo, or safe passenger handling for staff buses
  • Route planning, delivery documentation and fuel logs
  • Observing destination traffic law, working-hours rules and site speed limits

The trade test

A road test in the vehicle class on offer, plus a check of your licence category and endorsement history. Some employers also run a written traffic-signs test in English.

Documents that help you

  • Valid Indian driving licence in the correct class (HTV / LTV / transport endorsement)
  • Licence validity of at least one year at the time of application, ideally more
  • Experience certificates from a transport or contracting employer
  • A clean record — several Gulf employers ask for it

All questions

Will my Indian licence be valid abroad?

Not directly. Gulf countries require you to convert or re-test locally after arrival, and the employer normally arranges it. Your Indian licence must be genuine, in the right class and valid — it is verified.

Can I get a driving job without heavy licence experience?

Light-vehicle and staff-bus vacancies do come up, but heavy and trailer roles will not be offered on a light licence. Get the class upgraded in India first; it changes what we can put you forward for.

How do I apply for a heavy driver job abroad?

Upload your CV on this website — it is free and takes a few minutes. Our team screens it against the demand letters we are working on, and calls you when there is a match. You then attend the interview or trade test, complete the medical, and we file the visa and, for ECR passports going to Gulf countries, the emigration clearance.

What should my CV show for a heavy driver vacancy?

Your trade stated plainly, the years of experience, the specific equipment or systems you worked on, and the names of the employers with dates. Attach your experience certificates and any trade certificate. Vague CVs get skipped — employers shortlist on specifics.

Do you charge candidates a fee?

Registration and CV upload are free. As a licensed Recruiting Agent we may charge a service fee of up to forty-five days’ wages once you are selected, against a receipt. Nobody at Galaxy Enterprises will ask you for cash without a receipt — if that happens, report it to us directly.

Are you a heavy driver?

Upload your CV once, free. When an employer opens a demand for your trade we call you for the interview or trade test — and we tell you the country, the contract and the wage before you commit to anything.
